Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science is a private, non-benefit, Historically Black College and University and a Minority Serving Institution found in Willowbrook, unincorporated Los Angeles County, California, United States.[1][2] It was established in 1966 in light of lacking restorative offices inside the Watts district of Los Angeles, California, USA. Later, the foundation turned into an University and transformed its name so as to mirror its new scholastic part. The University is named to pay tribute to Dr. Charles R. Drew. It was connected with the previous Martin Luther King Jr./Charles R. Drew Medical Center from 1972 to 2006, and now and again alluded to as King-Drew University.
The college is a part school of Thur good Marshall College Fund
On February 27, 2010 a U.S. Naval force boat was named for Dr. Charles R. Drew, who upset blood saving money amid World War II. A copy sits in the School of Nursing Lobby.
